Courtyard
The sandy, flat rocks of the courtyard lead to giant stairs where the doors to the palace stand. This ancient castle, though without walls, has stood for many years. The desert is its defense.
Halls
The castle halls are brightly lit from the burning sun that shines through the windows. There are many fine, well-worn statues of strange beasts and great men who once inhabited this fortress in the desert lands.
Throne Room
The great, gilded throne room with its twin thrones of black and red. Here are seated the cruel king of red and his equally bloodthirsty queen!
Druid's Alcove
In one of the domed towers is the Druid's alcove. It features a top floor, mid-floor, and ground floor. The top floor is hottest and is used for storing the herbs and supplies. The middle floor is where the Druids sleep, practice, and other tasks. The lower floor is cooler since it has no windows, and a natural spring bubbles up from a fissure in the floor underground, providing water in a pool. This is where the patients are kept and treated. A spiral set of stone stairs winds up the tower.
Kitchens
The kitchens are hot and balmy but always smelling of meats and good things to eat. The ones charged with cooking are always bustling about, preparing one thing or another.
Nursery
In the right wing of the castle is the nursery. The windows are up by the ceiling so it doesn't get hot in here, and the breezes blow in nice and cool.
